Show backorder status in cart and checkout
Currently, the only way a customer has visibility to see if a particular item is on backorder is if they click the link on the product page that shows which locations the item is in stock in. Once they navigate to their cart and to checkout, it does not show backorder status of each line/item and a customer is likely to believe that all items in their cart are in stock (or all are backordered if they see the messaging in checkout that occurs when at least 1 item is backordered in their location). If the customer did not check the stock status on the product page or is ordering a lot of items, some of which are backordered and some of which are not, the lack of visibility/transparency is likely to cause confusion. This is not a good user experience.
Adding backorder status of each line to cart/checkout would allow the customer to know when ordering if some of their items are ready to be picked up at their location.

Kevin CardosoThis would be a huge QOL upgrade for our customers. It is very difficult to see an overview of whats available and what is not after they added their items to the cart. Even after placing the order the customer has no real idea of what is in stock and what isn't without individually looking items up.

James K. JonesDefinitely agree that the customer needs to be able to see if the items they are ordering are going to be backordered. Thanks, Jim.

Robin MavisWe would love to have this working with the live inventory feeds from CU/TIMS as well.

Norma AnthonyThis would be amazing. Would make the customer experience so much better. Instead of having to chat, email or to call asking where an item is.

Kristen CurranThis would be great if it could be visible across the board, from viewing to - check out - order confirmation!
