Ability to apply a promotion to a product category or brand

It's currently not possible to have a promotion offering x amount discount off orders over y total order value on a specific product category or categories, or brand(s). If you apply the promo to a product group including the chosen category or brand, the discount comes off each qualifying SKU, not the order total.
