Promo product group discount ONLY to apply to products in that group

Currently if I create a promo and attach a product group (for instance Xerox Performer A4 White Paper), and give a discount if they order 40 boxes (a pallet) , the discount code will work but annoyingly it also works if they only order 1 box of paper and add any other product to make up the £value that is set. Is it possible to have it do what is says on the tin and therefore the discount is only applied to the products within the product group and not the whole order? By the way we are unable to use quantity breaks as we have live pricing. Thanks
