Checkbox at checkout to indicate ship complete

When a customer orders online, it could ship multiple orders to the customer based on product type, backorders etc (which in return creates multiple invoices). Right now the only way to indicate ship complete is in the order notes at checkout, which creates the chance for human error missing that note.
Have a checkbox at cart or checkout that the customer can click if they want the order to ship all together at once vs multiple orders.
